Starting in 1944, the Canberra Recorded Music Society met to listen to selections from the Carnegie Foundation’s enormous Carnegie Music Set, a gift to the people of Canberra. Now there’s the Artsound Recorded Music Society where Artsound presenters share a recording of particular interest to them.
This week, Len Power is presenting an operetta, ‘The New Moon’. Everyone’s heard the song, ‘Stout-Hearted Men,’ before and you might be surprised to learn that there are more songs in ‘The New Moon’ that you will know.
